Elementary Site Coach

Role and Responsibilities

The Site Coach is responsible to the Jubilee REACH leadership team, who is partnered and accountable to the principal and school staff and is focused on building healthy relationships and a caring, accountable “community” in and around the school. Serving as an interdependent, intermediary, the Site Coach ensures that every child is known, loved, affirmed, and feels they “belong.”  The Site Coach successfully executes a variety of relationship-building activities, sports, and services, while coordinating with other Jubilee REACH staff, volunteers and partner organizations serving at the school.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older

Pass Federal fingerprint and State (WSP) background check and reference check 

Minimum HS diploma or GED equivalent, college degree preferred 

Possess a heart to serve and to love all students

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth preferred

Must be available to work most afternoons (Wednesday's required) to lead after-school sports and activities

Ability to build relationships with students, parents, staff, administration, and volunteers

Ability to work openly and responsibly with the school’s principal

Ability to manage conflict well

Commitment to uphold, embody and enforce BSD and school rules and values

Areas of Responsibility

Work with school administration and staff to foster a sense of belonging for each and every student

Support daily activities, invest time in classes, and be present in halls as requested by school staff

Facilitate before, during, and after school activities, and services. Head coach for after school sports

Coordinate, serve, and manage all Stipend JR staff  and volunteers

Meet with students on a daily basis, including one-on-one “check and connects”

Serve as a conduit for all faith-based and other service organizations desiring to serve each school as requested in coordination & collaboration with administration and partner organizations

Coordinate with Family Engagement Specialist (FES) and counselors to support and serve the needs of families

Attend weekly Site Coach training meetings and periodic meetings with school administration and staff
