Operations Excellence Consulting Fellow (Part-Time)

Moura CFO partners with growing restaurant groups and multi-unit operators to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term value.

Unlike traditional accounting firms, we work directly with owners to redesign processes, improve profitability, and implement operational improvements across finance and restaurant operations.

We’re looking for a highly motivated student interested in consulting, operations, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

You will work alongside our consulting team to help implement operational improvements inside restaurant businesses throughout the Greater Boston area.

Projects may include:

* Implementing inventory count processes
* Organizing inventory storage areas
* Building operational checklists
* Training restaurant staff on new procedures
* Collecting operational and financial data
* Measuring food cost and inventory accuracy
* Supporting technology implementations
* Following up on action plans with management
* Documenting processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Identifying operational bottlenecks and suggesting improvements

This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be analyzing spreadsheets; other days you’ll be inside a restaurant working directly with managers and employees.

Preferred majors:

* Industrial Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering
* Operations Research
* Systems Engineering
* Supply Chain
* Business Analytics
* Related quantitative disciplines

Requirements:

* Fluent Portuguese and English
* Current undergraduate student (Freshman–Junior preferred)
* Strong analytical thinking
* Highly organized
* Comfortable interacting with business owners and restaurant teams
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Willing to travel locally throughout the Greater Boston area

Bonus:

* Excel or Google Sheets proficiency
* SQL or Power BI exposure
* Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement coursework
* Previous restaurant experience
