In-House Accountant

Job Description

The In-House Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting payroll and tax processes, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date company financial records.
  • Prepare, process, and manage payroll, ensuring timely salary payments and accurate statutory deductions.
  • Review and clean financial data to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
  • Perform regular bank, account, and ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with taxation processes, including the preparation and filing of applicable tax returns.
  • Manage PAYE and ensure proper remittance to relevant authorities.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain company budgets.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and provide financial insights to support management decisions.
  • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and support internal controls and audit processes.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
