Operations & Growth Management Intern (FALL)

About Us

Hopping 4 A Cure™ for Multiple Sclerosis is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis through Recess Olympics and hopscotch tournaments. Proceeds support college scholarships, caregiver assistance, and alternative medical research — creating tangible impact for individuals and families affected by MS.

About the Role

Hopping 4 A Cure Interns are an elite squad of the most ambitious individuals, who happen to take Recess and helping those affected by Multiple Sclerosis very seriously.

As a student leader, you'll raise awareness and support for MS in your local community and across the US by driving the growth of the organization. Combine your passion for sports, science, and/or the arts with community service to bring new energy to MS fundraising and recruiting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the growth of your selected region of the US, introducing new chapters into the Hopping 4 A Cure family
  • Lead marketing and outreach efforts across your region, building relationships with key stakeholders and influencers interested in starting a chapter or hosting an event in their community
  • Nurture those contacts and manage their growth within the organization
  • Support planning and execution of Recess Olympics and hopscotch tournaments — coordinating logistics, tracking timelines, and communicating with volunteers and participants
  • Assist with operational documentation, process improvements, and basic reporting related to events and programs
  • Raise funds to support those affected by MS (if there's an event or fundraiser you decide to lead)

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in business, marketing, operations, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable interacting with school administrators, volunteers, partners, and community members
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to track deadlines and follow up on action items
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote role
  • Interest in nonprofit and community work, especially health advocacy or MS awareness
  • Bonus: passion for sports, fitness, or youth programming

Details:

  • Remote (with occasional in-person for local events)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Real ownership of projects and regional growth

What You'll Gain:

This is real, functional experience that translates directly into real-world knowledge: regional management, stakeholder relations, marketing, event operations, and nonprofit leadership.

No getting coffee. No dress code. No busywork. All Recess.

Hop in the hope of a world free of Multiple Sclerosis.
