Accounting Internship — 2026–2027 School Year

Opportunity

Due to our continued growth and success, we are excited to offer one internship position for the 2026–2027 school year, for a talented, motivated, and intellectually curious accounting student — or recent graduate — looking to gain valuable professional experience in public accounting.

Program Overview

This is a paid in-person internship based in our Somerville office, working directly with our CPAs and experienced accounting professionals on meaningful client work across multiple service areas, including:

  • Audit and attestation services
  • Tax preparation and planning
  • Management accounting
  • Financial analysis and reporting
  • Client consulting projects

We are accepting applications for this single position under either of the following tracks:

  • Current Student (Part-Time): Enrolled and available to work in-person a minimum of 20 hours per week throughout the school year.
  • Recent Graduate (Full-Time): Completed a degree within the past year and available to work in-person full-time (40 hours/week).

Your Responsibilities

  • Rotate through our audit and tax divisions to gain comprehensive exposure to public accounting
  • Assist with client engagements under the guidance of experienced professionals
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations (when appropriate)
  • Research accounting, tax, and business issues
  • Complete a designated business-focused project that addresses real firm challenges
  • Provide innovative ideas to improve our service delivery and internal processes
  • Learn and become proficient in industry-standard accounting software and tools

Qualifications

Education

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting (with a completion date of December 2026 or later; May 2028 for undergraduates), OR graduated from such a program within the past 12 months
  • Completed (or currently enrolled in) intermediate accounting and taxation coursework
  • Coursework in Auditing, Financial Statement Analysis, and Financial Management is highly desirable
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities

Program Details

  • Duration: September 2026 – May 2027
  • Schedule — Current student track: minimum 20 hours/week, Monday–Friday, hours arranged around class schedule
  • Schedule — Recent graduate track: full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
  • Location: In-person only at our Somerville office (no hybrid or remote work available)
  • Compensation: Starting at $20.00/hour, based on qualifications and experience
