Social Media Content Creator
Social Media Content Creator
Location: Hybrid Employment Type: Part-time (~10 hrs/week)
About the Role
We're looking for a Social Media Content Creator to plan, shoot, and post content that makes our brand feel premium, warm, and worth stopping to look at. This is a hands-on, part-time hybrid role — some in-person time for shooting product/lifestyle content, some remote time for planning, editing, and posting. Experience creating content for CPG (consumer packaged goods) brands — food, beverage, wellness, or similar — is a strong plus, since you'll already understand how to make a physical product feel exciting on a screen.
What You'll Do
- Plan and maintain a monthly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok
- Shoot and edit short-form video (Reels/TikToks), photos, and Stories featuring our products, packaging, and brand world
- Write on-brand captions, hooks, and copy that fit each platform's tone
- Style and art-direct product shots (flat lays, lifestyle shots, unboxings, behind-the-scenes)
- Stay on top of platform trends, audio, and formats, and adapt them to fit our brand
- Track basic engagement metrics and suggest adjustments to content strategy based on what's performing
- Occasionally support content needs for launches, seasonal campaigns, or events (holiday collections, market pop-ups, hospitality partnerships)
What We're Looking For
- Experience creating and posting social content for a brand — CPG (food, beverage, wellness, lifestyle) experience strongly preferred
- Strong eye for aesthetics — comfortable styling shots that feel premium, warm, and true to a small artisanal brand (not overly corporate or generic)
- Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video on a phone or camera (CapCut, Premiere Rush, InShot, or similar)
- Good writing skills — can nail a caption's tone in a few lines
- Self-directed — able to plan a content calendar and execute independently with light check-ins, rather than needing everything mapped out
- Reliable and organized — comfortable managing a consistent posting cadence on a part-time schedule
Nice to Have
- Experience with a food, beverage, or specialty/gourmet CPG brand specifically
- Basic photography/lighting skills for product photography
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Express, or Lightroom for quick edits
- Experience running paid social boosts or working alongside a paid media strategy
- An existing personal following or content portfolio in the lifestyle/food/wellness space
Compensation
21-25/hour Note if there's room to grow into more hours as the brand scales.
