Location: Raymond, Ohio
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Onsite

About the Role
Echelle Resources is looking for an Automotive Test Technician to support our client, Honda R&D, onsite in Raymond, Ohio.
This is a hands on position working directly with prototype and development vehicles, vehicle components, technology, and testing equipment.
The role does not require an advanced software or automotive background. We are looking for someone who is mechanically or technically comfortable, communicates well, follows instructions carefully, and is interested in learning.
Your day may include driving a prototype vehicle through a specific test route, operating certain vehicle features, reproducing a reported problem, installing or swapping a component, performing a software update, collecting basic logs, taking photos or videos, and documenting exactly what happened.
Some assignments will be interesting and highly active. Others may involve repeating the same test several times, driving for several hours, waiting for a vehicle or component, or documenting an issue that cannot be reproduced. Dependability, attention to detail, and communication are extremely important in this position.
What You’ll Do
- Perform assigned testing on prototype and development vehicles
- Drive vehicles on defined routes while monitoring specific features or behaviors
- Follow written and verbal test procedures
- Reproduce reported vehicle or system issues
- Perform basic troubleshooting when something does not operate as expected
- Assist with installing, removing, or exchanging vehicle components when needed
- Perform basic software updates and system setup after training
- Capture photos, videos, notes, vehicle information, and basic logs
- Accurately document test results and observations
- Provide clear updates on testing progress and issues
- Use computers, diagnostic tools, test equipment, and issue tracking systems
- Work with Honda staff, suppliers, and other project teams
- Adapt to changing priorities and different testing needs from day to day
What We’re Looking For
We are less concerned with a specific degree and more interested in finding someone who is reliable, hands on, technically curious, and able to communicate.
A strong candidate will:
- Be comfortable working around vehicles, electronics, computers, or technical equipment
- Have experience with testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, diagnostics, manufacturing, automotive service, electronics, quality, or another hands on technical environment
- Be comfortable learning new tools and procedures
- Follow instructions carefully and pay attention to details
- Clearly document what they observed
- Ask questions when something is unclear
- Communicate problems and status updates proactively
- Be comfortable performing repetitive testing when necessary
- Be comfortable driving regularly as part of the position
- Be dependable and able to work onsite five days per week
Backgrounds That Could Be a Good Fit
Candidates may come from automotive service, dealership technician work, manufacturing, electronics, quality testing, field service, maintenance, laboratory testing, vehicle testing, technical support, or similar hands on environments.
A four year technical degree is not required. Technical school, associate degree, automotive training, military technical experience, certifications, or equivalent hands on experience can all be relevant.
