Part-Time Youth Program Instructor

KidScape Productions is hiring energetic, dependable individuals to join our Reno team.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students and emerging professionals pursuing ANY YOUTH-SERVING CAREER — including education, social work, counseling, psychology, child development, special education, recreation, human services, theatre, and more.

Gain paid, hands-on experience working directly with children and teens from day one. New instructors are paired with an experienced lead instructor and receive paid training until ready to lead programs independently.

• Afterschool programs
• Out-of-school-time and summer camps
• Private coaching

Responsibilities

Facilitate interactive improvisation, theatre-based and experiential activities; engage and support students; assist with classroom/group management; build positive relationships; and eventually lead programs independently.

Skills We're Looking For

Strong communication, reliability, high energy &  enthusiasm, leadership potential, adaptability, patience, creativity, professionalism, and the ability to connect with children and teens.

Minimum Requirements

• 18+
• Reliable transportation
• Working cell phone
• Basic computer/Excel skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable actively engaging with groups of youth
• Available for some daytime and/or afternoon programming

No teaching or theatre experience required — we train you.

Build real-world experience in communication, group facilitation, classroom management, leadership, behavior support, relationship-building, problem-solving and youth engagement — skills applicable to ANY YOUTH-SERVING CAREER.
