Shopify Store Manager & Graphic Designer
Shopify Store Manager & Graphic Designer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Part-time 10–15 hrs/week
Reports to: Founder
About the Role
You'll be the go-to person for everything happening on our Shopify store. This is a hybrid technical + creative role: part store manager, part designer. You'll keep the site running smoothly, implement new features and seasonal updates, and create the graphics, banners, and product visuals that bring our brand to life online.
This is a part-time role, well-suited to someone managing a few clients/projects or looking for flexible, ongoing work. Hours are flexible as long as site updates and design requests are turned around on schedule — we care about output and reliability more than fixed hours.
What You'll Do
Shopify Store Management
- Manage and maintain our Shopify theme, including customizations, sections, and app integrations
- Implement site updates: new product launches, seasonal collections, sales/promotions, landing pages
- Monitor site performance, troubleshoot bugs, and ensure a smooth, fast checkout experience
- Manage apps/plugins (subscriptions, reviews, upsells, email capture, etc.) and keep them updated and optimized
- Ensure the site is mobile-optimized and consistent across devices
Design & Visual Merchandising
- Design homepage banners, product imagery, promotional graphics, and email/social assets that align with brand guidelines
- Update seasonal/campaign visuals (holidays, new product drops, sales events)
- Maintain visual consistency across the site, packaging references, and marketing materials
- Collaborate on product photography direction and image editing/retouching
Continuous Improvement
- Suggest and implement UX/UI improvements to increase conversion and improve customer experience
- Stay current on Shopify updates, new themes, apps, and e-commerce design trends
- A/B test layouts, banners, and page elements where relevant
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing a Shopify store (theme customization, Liquid basics a plus, app management)
- Strong graphic design skills — proficiency in tools like Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Canva, or Figma
- An eye for premium, clean aesthetics — you understand what "luxury" and "premium" look like visually
- Comfortable working independently, managing multiple small projects/updates at once
- Basic understanding of e-commerce best practices (conversion, UX, mobile optimization)
- Detail-oriented — you catch typos, misaligned banners, and broken links before customers do
- Bonus: experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, etc.), basic photography/editing, or previous experience with food/beverage or CPG brands
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify Plus
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for custom theme tweaks
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for product/collection pages
- Experience designing for both web and print (packaging, inserts, trade show materials)
Compensation
22-26/hour DOE, Note if room to grow into more hours/full-time as the business scales.
