Overview:

EdgeBrook Farm is a New Jersey farm project providing interns with the opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of a real agricultural operation. EdgeBrook Farm is seeking motivated candidates for the Agricultural Technology Internship [NJ Farm Project] to support projects involving agricultural technology, farm automation, digital tools, sensors, equipment, and data-driven farming practices.

This internship provides practical experience exploring how technology can improve modern agricultural operations. Participants will have opportunities to research and evaluate agricultural technologies, assist with technology implementation, collect and organize farm data, and contribute to projects focused on improving efficiency, productivity, and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Research agricultural technologies, digital tools, and emerging trends in modern farming.
  • Assist with evaluating technology that could improve farm efficiency and productivity.
  • Support projects involving sensors, monitoring systems, automation, and agricultural equipment.
  • Help collect, organize, and analyze data generated through farm operations and technology systems.
  • Assist with evaluating software and digital tools used for agricultural management and decision-making.
  • Research opportunities to integrate new technologies into farm operations.
  • Support testing and documentation of agricultural technology systems and equipment.
  • Help identify opportunities to automate or improve existing farm processes.
  • Assist with preparing research summaries, technical documentation, and project reports.
  • Collaborate with project leadership and other interns on agricultural technology initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Agricultural Systems, or a related field.
  • Interest in agriculture, technology, automation, or data-driven farming.
  • Strong analytical, technical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable learning and working with new technologies and digital tools.
  • Familiarity with sensors, automation, data analysis, agricultural equipment, or technical software is a plus.
  • Programming, electronics, GIS, or data-management experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
