Schedule: Tuesdays or Thursdays between 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM PST (1 hour per group)

Whizara is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and dependable ScratchJr Instructor to lead fun and interactive online coding classes for K–3 students this fall!
In this role, you’ll introduce young learners to the exciting world of coding through ScratchJr, a kid-friendly programming platform designed to help children bring their stories, characters, and ideas to life. You’ll guide students through playful coding activities while helping them develop early computational thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and confidence.
You don’t need to be a professional programmer to make a great instructor—we’re looking for someone who can make technology fun, approachable, and exciting for young learners.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging and interactive online ScratchJr classes for K–3 students
- Teach foundational coding concepts using Whizara’s structured curriculum and materials
- Guide students in creating animations, stories, games, and interactive projects
- Introduce age-appropriate concepts such as sequencing, commands, events, loops, and problem-solving
- Encourage students to experiment, ask questions, and get creative with their projects
- Create a positive, welcoming, and supportive virtual learning environment
- Keep young learners engaged and participating throughout each session
- Provide guidance and encouragement as students work through coding challenges
- Manage the virtual classroom and help students stay focused and on task
- Communicate professionally with Whizara and school staff as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Comfortable using ScratchJr or willing to quickly learn the platform
- Basic understanding of coding or computational thinking concepts
- Enjoys working with young children (K–3)
- Creative, patient, energetic, and enthusiastic about technology
- Confident communicating and teaching in an online environment
- Able to explain concepts in a simple, age-appropriate way
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Prior teaching, tutoring, childcare, or mentoring experience is preferred, but not required
- A reliable internet connection and quiet, professional space for online teaching
