Front Desk Administrator


 

Urbanity Dance seeks a part-time Front Desk Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of Urbanity’s school. Reporting to the Administrative Manager, the Front Desk Administrator supports the full community of the School by providing exceptional customer service for students and their caregivers, along with ensuring a safe, joyful, clean, organized, and welcoming environment.


 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Deliver excellent customer service as a lead interface with parents and students, including assisting with registration and billing (in person and via email/phone), 
  • Greet all students and caregivers that enter the space, facilitating a warm and welcoming atmosphere 
  • Supplies management: check supplies / restock 
  • Facilities management: assist with facility maintenance projects; maintain clean facilities in coordination with Work-Study Scholars 


 

Schedule:

  • Part-time, 4-12 hours/week
  • Available Shifts:
    • MONDAY 3:00pm-9:00pm
    • SATURDAY 9:00am-3:05pm
    • SATURDAY 8:45am-11:45am 

Required Qualifications:

  • Administrative experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Apps
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outgoing, proactive, and positive approach
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm for working with students of all ages and backgrounds


 

Preferred Qualifications:


 

  • 1-2 years related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Spanish-speaking
  • Experience in a nonprofit or dance education setting
  • Belief in dance/arts to improve lives of individuals and communities, prioritizing access, inclusion, and wellness

Salary:  $21/hr

Part-time Employees (10-19 hours)

  • 1 hour of paid sick time per 30 hours worked per MA state law, up to 40 hours per year
  • 50% discount on all Urbanity Dance programs, including events, classes, camps, intensives, seminars and workshops 
  • Family members (this could include partner/spouse, children, etc; Urbanity is also open to and supportive of multiple definitions of ‘family’) are also eligible for a 20% discount on all Urbanity Dance events, classes, camps, intensives, seminars and workshops 
  • Discounted studio rentals
  • 1 complimentary ticket to each Urbanity Company / Underground performance during the year
  • One piece of Urbanity merch each year and 20% discount on all additional Urbanity merch


 

Part-time Employees (9 hours and less)

  • 1 hour of paid sick time per 30 hours worked per MA state law, up to 40 hours per year
