About ProMazo
Join ProMazo, the innovative consulting firm that lets you work on real projects for Fortune 500 companies. This isn't just an internship. Our clients have high expectations and tight deadlines. We build and manage teams of the brightest college talent and give you a real chance to shine and make an impact. As a selected team member, you'll be paid for your work and have the flexibility of remote work.
About the Role
As an AI Engineering Fellow, you'll be a hands on builder on a small, high caliber team shipping AI agents for real enterprise clients. You'll go beyond coursework and demos: sitting in discovery sessions with client stakeholders, translating what you learn into working systems, and iterating with real users and real deadlines. You'll be guided by a Technical Manager and surrounded by peers who are just as driven as you are.
What You'll Do
- Conduct discovery with client teams. Interview stakeholders to understand what data they use, how they work, and where an AI agent can make them faster and more accurate.
- Design, build, and iterate on LLM powered and agentic systems, from prototype to something a client actually relies on.
- Wire agents into real data sources and workflows, and build the retrieval, integration, and evaluation pieces that make them trustworthy.
- Test rigorously. Write evals, catch failure modes, and improve accuracy and reliability before anything reaches a client.
- Communicate clearly: document your work, demo to the team, and help translate technical progress into terms a client executive understands.
Projects You Might Work On
Our fellows work on live engagements with major companies. Recent and current work includes:
- A procurement analytics agent for a Fortune 500 company. Running discovery across procurement groups, then designing and building agent(s) that help the division access the right data faster and more accurately.
- A suite of strategy agents for an enterprise client, built to advance the company's strategic goals, with the team reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.
- AI transformation at a major financial institution. Helping lead the bank's AI initiatives as it moves into the AI era.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming fundamentals, especially in Python.
- Familiarity with large language models and their APIs: prompting, retrieval augmented generation, and at least some exposure to agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar).
- Comfort with ambiguity: you can take a vague problem, ask good questions, and drive toward a working solution.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and the maturity to work directly with client teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience building or shipping a project that used an LLM or an agent (course project, hackathon, internship, or side project all count).
- Familiarity with vector databases, APIs and integrations, or basic data engineering.
- Exposure to evaluation and testing of AI systems.
Logistics
- Location: Fully remote.
- Commitment: Project based; hours and duration vary by engagement.
- Compensation: Paid, up to $30 per hour.
