UG Research Assistant
The E-Carbon Lab in the Mechanical EngineeringĀ Department is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to support an MSGC-funded project on solid carbon formation from methane pyrolysis for closed-loop life support and in-situ resource utilization applications. The student will assist with laboratory preparation, experimental setup, sample collection, carbon material handling, data organization, and basic analysis of characterization results. Tasks may include preparing substrates or catalyst materials, documenting reactor conditions, organizing characterization data, maintaining experimental logs, and helping to build a structured dataset.
