Training Assistant Intern

About Us 

Terra Medicus provides professional CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS and emergency preparedness training to schools, businesses, health care organizations, nonprofits, and community groups throughout New York City. Our instructors deliver hands-on training that helps people gain the confidence and skills to respond during medical emergencies. 

What You'll Do

• Set up and break down classroom space, manikins, AED trainers, and audiovisual equipment before and after courses. 

• Assist instructors during training — distributing materials, monitoring skills practice stations, and sanitizing equipment between rotations. 

• Build and restock training kits so every class has all supplies and materials needed. 

• Order and track supplies (manikin lungs, face shields, gloves, pads, batteries) and flag low inventory before it becomes a problem. 

• Help with course rosters, sign-in sheets, and certification paperwork. 

• Take group photos and short videos for educational and social media content. 

• Travel with the team to on-site client trainings throughout New York City. 

• Assist with training events at corporate offices, schools, health care facilities, nonprofits, and community organizations. 

• Help maintain a clean, organized, professional learning environment. 

• Support special events, health fairs, and community outreach programs as needed. 

What We're Looking For 

• Reliable and punctual — classes start on time whether or not the room is ready. 

• Comfortable lifting and carrying equipment; kits and manikin cases can weigh up to 40 lbs. 

• Organized, with attention to detail on inventory and paperwork. 

• Professional and approachable around clients, students, and school staff. 

• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle preferred but not required. 

• Interest in EMS, nursing, pre-med, physician assistant studies, public health, safety, exercise science, kinesiology, emergency management, education, or a related field is a plus. 

• No prior certification required. What You Get
