Resilience Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving mental health while addressing challenges such as mass shootings, suicide, depression, declining test scores, low student engagement, and other social issues.

Our organization develops Social Emotional Learning (SEL) tools that help K–12 schools teach emotional intelligence through five core competencies: self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. We also provide resources that inspire hope, resilience, and overall well-being.

Resilience Inc. is seeking Cartoon Artist Interns to join our Creative Team. Our internship program requires a minimum commitment of 90 hours with the opportunity to continue beyond the required hours. We ask for a minimum four-month commitment, with interns contributing 5–10 hours per week. Flexible start and end dates are available. No prior experience is required—just creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for art.

Daily Expectations

• Create engaging cartoon illustrations and visual artwork that support Social Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Art Department on creative projects for educational and marketing materials.
• Develop original characters, scenes, and illustrations that communicate SEL concepts to K–12 students.
• Research and incorporate the five core competencies of Social Emotional Learning into artwork.
• Receive and implement feedback from supervisors and team members through email, messaging, and one-on-one meetings.
• Participate in weekly remote team meetings and contribute creative ideas for ongoing projects.
• Help create artwork that positively impacts students, educators, and communities.

Requirements

• Passion for drawing, illustration, and cartoon art.
• Experience with digital illustration software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or similar) is preferred but not required.
• Strong creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and willingness to accept constructive feedback.
• Eagerness to learn and continuously improve artistic skills.
• Ability to commit 5–10 hours per week for at least four months.
