Job Title: Process Improvement Specialist
Overview:
The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing procedures and systems that will drive safety, continuous improvement, and innovation of a manufacturing process.

On Site: 5 days/week; - Abbeville Plant (Abbeville, SC)
Pay Rate:
Based on Experience
Hourly: $26.45 - $33.23
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of the Sage Safety Process
- Travel between plant(s) as needed.
- Generate, update, and present data reports and presentations to Upper management.
- Recommend strategies for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Support the development and scale up of new products, optimizing specifications once products enter mass production.
- Navigate ERP system, databases/control systems local to process, and historical technical documents to optimize process.
- Create and maintain relevant charts, visualizations, and graphics to illustrate process performance and highlight process gaps.
- Participate/Lead daily meetings with the goal of dispositioning and reducing the creation of Nonconforming material.
- Assist in leading and coaching production associates and with the goal of 100% conformance to Plant/Process policies and procedures.
- Interact and interface with Automotive OEMs including Toyota, Daimler, Stellantis, and General Motors, ensuring their satisfaction and compliance with their performance standards.
- All other duties as needed/directed by supervisor.
Qualifications/Skills:
Required:
- Microsoft Excel (Intermediate) – Excel functions, Chart creation, etc.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate) - PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Ability to communicate with all areas of the company and with outside customers.
- Self-starter with demonstrated time management skills.
- Ability to work as an individual and part of a cross functional team.
Preferred:
- Technical expertise and/or willingness to take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
- Experience and proficiency in coaching, leading, and managing people.
- Associates degree in Engineering Technology or related science/industry-based field
