About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Specialist to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, families, and school staff to develop and implement effective instructional strategies that help students achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their IEPs.


  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized instructional strategies and goals.


  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive learning environments.


  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and records.


  • Use assessment and student data to adjust instruction and interventions.


  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and school support teams.


  • Implement appropriate accommodations and modifications.


  • Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.


  • Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.


  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and other educational professionals.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Intervention Specialist, or a related field.


  • Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license appropriate to the students being served.


  • Knowledge of IEPs, IDEA, accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction.


  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


  • Ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning needs.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher.


  • Experience working with students with disabilities in an inclusive or specialized classroom setting.


  • Knowledge of MTSS/RTI and evidence-based intervention strategies.


  • Experience using student data to monitor academic progress.


  • Experience collaborating with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams.
