After-School Music & Movement Leader

Music Universe is music education company that partners with schools to bring consistent and quality music education to students. Our company offers lots of different programming options and we have had several new positions opening up for the 2026-27 school year, including After-School Music & Movement Leaders and Classroom General Music teachers  This post is for after-school music and movement leaders.

After-School Music Leaders - This position involves leading music and movement sessions as part of after school programming at several public schools in central OC.  We can train in specific song games and activites. Leaders do not need to be trained musicians but should be comfortable quickly learning singing games and songs.  This part time position may be combined with other positions to make it full time. 

We love experienced music educators, but we also believe in mentoring and supporting new educators. If you are someone who wants to gain some teaching experience in a supportive environment, we can help! We provide all the curriculum materials and even the lesson plans. 

Most positions begin in September and last till May or June.
