Classroom Music Teacher (General Music, singing-centered)

Music Universe is music education company that partners with schools to bring consistent and quality music education to students. Our company offers lots of different programming options and we have had several new positions opening up for the 2026-27 school year We are especially looking for General Classroom Music Teachers and After-School Music Leaders.  This post is for Classroom Music teachers but provides information on the after-school music leader position because sometimes these roles are combined.  

Classroom Music - this full or part-time position teaches general music in the Preschool through 8th Grade Classrooms (different schools have different age groups, and we are looking for teachers for all age levels). Teacher should be comfortable singing and leading singing with the children but do not need to be trained singers.  No credential necessary. We are especially looking to fill positions in central Orange County.

Some classroom teaching positions may also include the opportunity to teach private lessons or after-school group classes, as well.

After-School Music Leaders - This position involves leading music and movement sessions as part of after school programming at several public schools in central OC.  We can train in specific song games and activites. Leaders do not need to be trained musicians but should be comfortable quickly learning singing games and songs.  This part time position may be combined with other positions to make it full time. 

We love experienced music educators, but we also believe in mentoring and supporting new educators. If you are someone who wants to gain some teaching experience in a supportive environment, we can help! We provide all the curriculum materials and even the lesson plans. 

Most positions begin in September (some positions have August pre-school year meetings) and last till June.
