Student Worker, Trade Operations

Job Description
The Student Worker, Trade Operations provides administrative and operational support to the Trade Operations team, with a primary focus on trade show logistics and Canadian cross-border transportation compliance. This position offers hands-on experience in transportation, customs, logistics, and freight industry while supporting critical business functions related to freight movement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
* Assist Trade Operations personnel with trade show shipment management and tracking.
* Monitor inbound and outbound trade show freight to ensure timely delivery and return.
* Assist with scheduling and coordinating freight pickups, trade show entries and deliveries.
* Support data entry and reporting related to trade show transportation activities.
* Review shipment information for accuracy and completeness prior to customs processing.
* Assist with commodity description reviews and edits to ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
* Review CCTV footage and shipment documentation to assist in identifying unmanifested cross-border freight.
* Research and document findings related to freight compliance investigations.
* Escalate compliance concerns and documentation discrepancies to Trade Operations leadership.
* Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
* Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
* Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, required.

Experience:
* No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills:
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Details
Work Hours:
* This is a part time position that will work fewer than 30 hours per week. Typical hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on school schedule and workload.

Travel Requirements:
* Minimal (0%-25%)

Compensation:
* This is a hourly position paid weekly.
