About the Role:

The Whataburger Restaurant Manager is a key member of the restaurant leadership team and is next in command of the restaurant.

You'll help set the tone for the work environment and guest experience while ensuring each shift runs smoothly and operational standards are consistently met.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, solving problems, driving results, and being part of the action.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Team Members and Team Leaders and ensure responsibilities are completed on time and to standard
• Create a positive, engaging work environment where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed
• Coach, train, and develop Team Members and Team Leaders
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and developing great talent
• Ensure guests consistently receive safe, high-quality food and friendly service
• Maintain company standards for food quality, cleanliness, health, and safety
• Support facility maintenance and overall restaurant operations
• Stay connected to the "pulse" of the team and help drive culture and engagement
• Identify opportunities to improve restaurant performance and guest satisfaction
• Partner with restaurant leadership to execute plans and achieve business goals
• Lead by example and help build a strong, high-performing team

What We're looking for

We're looking for experienced restaurant leaders who know how to take care of their people and get results.

Our ideal candidate:

• Is at least 18 years of age 
• Has 2–4 years of progressive, successful management experience within the restaurant industry
• Has a hands-on leadership style and enjoys coaching and developing others
• Takes ownership and gets things done on time and to standard
• Can create a plan, organize priorities, execute, and follow up effectively
• Thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Has a strong internal and external customer-service focus
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Can adapt quickly and effectively to changing business needs
• Has a strong desire to grow personally while helping others grow
• Looks for innovative ways to support work-life balance for themselves and their team
• Has a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Has a valid driver's license, liability insurance, and a good driving record
• Meets applicable background check and drug screening requirements

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform the physical functions necessary to support restaurant operations, including standing and walking for extended periods, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning restaurant and exterior areas, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., and stooping during portions of the shift.

Reporting Relationship:

The Restaurant Manager reports directly to the restaurant's Operating Partner.
