About You
- Studying or graduated from a program in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, business administration, commerce, or a related field.
- Interested in gaining hands-on experience with real-world business accounting and bookkeeping processes.
- Familiar with basic accounting principles, including expenses, revenues, invoices, receipts, and transaction reconciliation.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is considered an asset, but not required.
- Comfortable working with financial records, spreadsheets, invoices, receipts, and other business documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organized and capable of working with large volumes of financial documentation.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet software.
- Able to review and match financial documents with corresponding business transactions.
- Able to categorize and organize business expenses and supporting documentation.
- Available part-time (minimum 8 hours/week) or full-time for at least 4 months.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with Funktasy’s administrative and accounting teams.
- Professional and capable of handling confidential business and financial information.
- Highly motivated, dependable, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Accounting & Bookkeeping Internship Role
Funktasy – Magazine & Music Group is looking for highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial administration within a growing entertainment and media company.
As part of the Accounting & Bookkeeping team, you will assist with maintaining accurate financial records by organizing and processing invoices, receipts, expenses, and transaction documentation using QuickBooks and other financial tools. You will work with real-world business records while learning practical bookkeeping procedures, financial organization, and account reconciliation.
Throughout the internship, you’ll gain practical experience with QuickBooks, transaction reconciliation, expense categorization, invoice and receipt management, financial recordkeeping, and accounting workflows, while working alongside Funktasy’s administrative and accounting teams.
Your Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain Funktasy’s financial records across bank accounts, credit cards, payment processors, and other financial platforms.
- Review, organize, and process invoices, receipts, expenses, payments, deposits, and other supporting financial documentation.
- Enter and categorize financial transactions using QuickBooks and other accounting and financial management tools.
- Review and reconcile transactions across business bank accounts, credit cards, PayPal, Stripe, Wise, and other payment platforms.
- Match invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation with corresponding transactions to help maintain complete and accurate financial records.
- Categorize business expenses, vendor payments, subscriptions, payment processing fees, purchases, deposits, and other company transactions.
- Review financial records to identify missing documentation, duplicate entries, discrepancies, or other inconsistencies requiring further review.
- Assist with account and transaction reconciliation to ensure financial records correspond with available statements and supporting documentation.
- Organize and maintain digital financial documents using established filing and record-management procedures.
- Use spreadsheets and accounting software to track, organize, and review financial information.
- Prepare organized financial records, summaries, and supporting documentation for review by Funktasy’s accounting and administrative teams.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies, missing information, or documentation requirements to the appropriate team member for review.
- Assist with general bookkeeping, financial administration, and accounting-related projects as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling company financial information, records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Funktasy’s accounting and administrative teams while gaining practical experience with real-world bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial management workflows.

Internship Terms & Conditions
- Funktasy Internship Programs are unpaid. Upon request, Funktasy is willing to work with a student to receive academic credit through their school/university program.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- We do not offer housing or travel accommodations.
- We do not offer any work visas for international students.
- All internship programs are in English.
Duration & Schedule
- Length: Standard internship term is 4 months (approx. 140 hours total). Extensions may be available if desired.
- Weekly Commitment: 8 hours per week, with half of those hours (4 hrs/week) dedicated to mandatory online group meetings.
- Start Dates: Internships begin every two months (bi-monthly start dates). Placements are first-come, first-served.
- Registration: We recommend applying 3–6 months in advance to secure your preferred term.
- School Credit: If your school requires additional hours for credit, schedules can be adjusted accordingly.
