Position Summary

LADACIN is seeking a compassionate and dependable Childcare Instructional Assistant to join our Childcare Program team in Ocean Township, NJ. This part-time position supports young children in a nurturing and engaging childcare environment.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children, demonstrate patience and teamwork, and assist in supporting the developmental and daily needs of children in the program. Experience working with young children and/or children with special needs is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and staff with daily classroom activities and routines
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Encourage positive interactions and engagement among children
• Assist with snack, playtime, transitions, and other daily activities
• Collaborate with classroom staff and families as needed
• Follow all agency policies and childcare regulations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CDA preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Must pass required background clearances and screenings

Schedule

• Part time hours
• Monday - Friday
• 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. or 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
