Social Media Intern

Location: Malabar, FL (on-site required, some tasks remote)

Pay: $15/hour,  Hours: 10–15 hrs/week

Dumpster Dads is a locally owned dumpster rental company serving the Space Coast. Think creative, funny, community-first marketing, not corporate stock photos. We want the vibes to be casual, interactive and focused on our local area.

What you'll do

• Manage our social media posting calendar across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Create original content: photos, short-form video, captions, and campaign concepts 
• Monitor and respond to comments and DMs, engaging authentically with our community and potential clients
• Reach out to recently completed customers to request reviews and testimonials, and help us turn great feedback into shareable content
• Track what's working (engagement, follower growth, review volume) and bring ideas to our weekly check-in

• How marketing decisions tie to actual business outcomes (leads, reviews, bookings)

Who we're looking for

• Comfortable on camera and behind it, you don't need to be a professional editor, just creative and consistent
• Strong, friendly writing voice; comfortable interacting directly with customers
• Reliable and organized enough to keep a posting calendar on schedule
• Marketing, Communications, Business, or related major preferred; open to strong candidates in other fields

Supervision & structure
You'll report directly to the office manager, with a weekly check-in for feedback and planning. This role is well-suited for internship credit, happy to complete any required school paperwork.
