Corrugated Packaging Intern

Are you a student interested in building experience with a wonderful team? We’re an start-up corrugated box plant looking for a talented a knowledgeable intern with fresh, creative ideas and an excellent eye for detail. Responsible for assisting in tasks and duties as directed by the intern’s manager. Provides support for critical business projects. Develops technical knowledge and leadership skills for future career marketability.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Zund Cutting Table for sample making of Corrugated Components
  • Learn and understand Properties of Corrugated
  • Spec cartons and do board test analysis
  • Clean work area as needed
  • Photograph Displays and prepare for presentation using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software
  • Size and cut Shippers for anyone in the office and assist with packing
  • Create Assembly Instructions using Adobe Illustrator Software to organize Digital Photographs
  • Use Impact CAD software to recall existing corrugated components
  • Use Impact CAD software to modify/design corrugated components and generate specification packages
  • Fill down time with general clean up and self-development on software and design projects

 

Education Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Pursing Postsecondary Degree in Industrial Design, Product or Structural Packaging Design or related discipline

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe software programs including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Basic knowledge of Impact/Esko CAD software
  • Self-starter willing to take on any other tasks to support the Creative staff
  • Bilingual in Mandarin a plus
