Marketing & Communications Intern

Marketing & Communications Intern — KD Construction of Florida

Fort Lauderdale, FL | Part-time, 16 hrs./week (2 days) | $18–$20/hr.

 

Get hands-on marketing experience in commercial construction.

KD Construction of Florida is a leading shell and drywall subcontractor behind major multifamily, high-rise, hospitality, and student housing projects across South Florida. We're looking for a motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to work directly with our marketing team on real campaigns, real projects, and real deadlines.

 

What You'll Do

- Help create and schedule social media content, captions, and calendars

- Review social media performance and build simple reports on reach, engagement, and top-performing content

- Design basic graphics, flyers, presentations, signage, and employee engagement materials

- Organize and label marketing materials — both physical (printed collateral, signage, event materials) and digital (files, folders, Google Drive)

- Collect and organize project photos, videos, and milestone details — including reviewing Procore — for progress updates and time-lapse videos

- Contribute to our monthly employee newsletter and Safety Newsletter

- Support employee recognition, events, and fundraising campaigns

- Review our website for outdated content or broken links

- Research industry, safety, and community topics for future content

 

What You'll Bring

- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field

- An eye for strong visuals — a portfolio or work samples requested

- Comfort with social media platforms, basic analytics, and file management systems

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

- Interest in construction or AEC industry a plus

- Schedule: Two days per week (approx. 16 hrs/week, ~208 hours total) — we'll coordinate with the intern to work around their school schedule
