Position: Video Production & Graphic Design Intern
Location: Hybrid with weekly office hours at Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin in Madison, WI
Duration: September 7, 2026–December 11, 2026
Hours: 10-15 hours per week (150 hours total)
Compensation: $500 Stipend

Position Description: As the Video Production & Graphic Design Intern, you will work closely with all members of the Marketing & Communications team to support the development of visual and multimedia content that helps tell our story and engage our community.
This internship is tailored for a student with video editing and graphic design skills. You will create content for digital channels, assist with editing and producing videos, and design digital and print materials that support campaigns and organizational needs.
The intern will report to the marketing coordinator.
Hours: 10-15 hours per week. Schedule is flexible with approximately 2-4 hours per week onsite at the Second Harvest administration office located at 2850 Dairy Drive, Madison WI 53719.
Compensation: $500 stipend available
Work-Related Responsibilities:
- Video Editing: Edit video footage for social media, website, and other communication channels using Adobe Premiere or similar program.
- Graphic Design: Create visual assets such as social graphics, one-pagers, infographics, and campaign materials using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Content Creation: Assist in developing short-form videos and digital content for platforms like Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and YouTube.
- Content Capture: Support occasional video shoots if available, though filming experience is not required.
- Campaign Support: Assist with creating visual assets for marketing and fundraising campaigns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing coordinator, media and PR manager, and director of marketing and communications to maintain consistent branding and messaging.
This internship will culminate with an intern-led project on one of the following topics:
- Explainer video on the difference between a food bank and a food pantry.
- Video of donor interviews designed to tell prospects why they should donate.
- Video of Second Harvest’s 40-year history supporting southwestern Wisconsin.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled student or recent graduate studying graphic design, multimedia production, marketing, digital media, or related field.

Skills:
- Experience with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Cloud suite (required).
- Experience editing video for short-form platforms (preferred).
- Familiarity with video shooting and content capture.
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms.
- Strong visual storytelling and design skills.
- Attributes: Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Creativity, curiosity, and a passion for storytelling through visual and multimedia content.
