Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator, Community Engagement leads resident event planning, community partnerships, and marketing coordination across the Magnus Capital Partners portfolio, including support for the launch of new HōM Flats communities. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Impact Capital. It serves as the primary point of coordination between Corporate Marketing, Operations, and property teams on all day-to-day marketing execution.
The coordinator owns the resident event calendar, the PASS Partner Program, and the marketing platform maintenance portfolio-wide, and directly supervises the Social Media Intern. The coordinator supports Preferred Employer Program efforts as needed. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role for someone who wants to build ownership of a growing marketing function as the portfolio expands into new markets.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Seth Montague, Vice President, Impact Capital (Marketing oversight)
Directly supervises: Social Media Intern
Coordinates directly with: Colton Jones-Gergis, Regional Manager; Anne Wisniewski, Executive Assistant; Cortez Groupe (external marketing agency)
Resident Event Planning & Execution
Plan, coordinate, and execute engaging community events (social, wellness, educational, and other programming) at all HōM Flats properties.
Maintain a minimum of one pre-planned, budgeted resident event per property per week, with a monthly portfolio total of three to five events. Oversee vendor coordination, on-site staffing, and execution to align with brand standards.
Plan and coordinate larger-scale portfolio events, including the golf outing, Summer Market Fest, groundbreakings, and Courtside programming, including food trucks, music, and promotion.
Support leasing events to help drive prospect engagement and lease-ups.
Encourage and support residents in leading recurring, self-organized events to foster community connection.
Organize group outings to local venues such as farmers markets, concerts, and museums.
Coordinate volunteer opportunities for residents, such as park clean-ups, food drives, and shelter partnerships.
Purchase supplies and decorations as needed; track and manage event inventory at each property.
Create all event flyers and invitations; distribute to property managers, send email invites, and post on Community Rewards and Loft Living.
Community & Partner Engagement
Build community partnerships and secure external facilitators for on-site classes, such as fitness, cooking, or career development.
Assist Corporate Marketing with large-scale events, including fundraisers, groundbreakings, and grand openings.
Own the PASS Partner Program: identify and maintain relationships with local businesses, create partner flyers, and add partner logos and descriptions to the company website and Loft Living.
Lead community outreach initiatives, such as welcome baskets and goodwill gestures, to build relationships with residents and local partners.
Preferred Employer Program Support
Support Preferred Employer Program efforts as needed, including scheduling, program collateral production, and partner onboarding documentation.
Marketing Platform & Digital Coordination
Coordinate with Cortez Groupe on website enhancements and integration of lead capture forms.
Manage profile verification and ongoing updates for each property on platforms including Google, Apple Maps, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant platforms.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Marketing shared inbox, including coordinating with IT on user access.
Direct the Social Media Intern's posting cadence and content calendar; review and approve content before it is published.
Capture event photos and video for use in promotional materials and social media.
Work with Operations to promote resident and prospect reviews and monitor and respond to Community Rewards and Google reviews.
Signage, Print & Merchandise
Conduct signage audits at each property to ensure accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency.
Create property signage, including closed signs, office hours, holiday flyers, elevator out-of-order notices, and pet clean-up reminders.
Order decals, parking stickers, and permanent signage for properties.
Coordinate business cards and email signatures for Magnus Capital Partners and HōM Flats team members.
Order staff apparel quarterly for HōM Flats employees and order HōM Flats branded merchandise for resident and marketing use.
Corporate & Foundation Event Logistics
Serve as lead event coordinator for the annual charity golf outing, including the invitation list, sponsorship signage, and registration tracking.
Partner with Vice President of Impact Capital to develop and distribute sponsorship information
Prepare and distribute the Summer Market Fest sponsor recap newsletter.
Support tracking of outstanding sponsorship contributions alongside the Accounting team.
New Community Launch Support
Own PASS Partner outreach for each new HōM Flats community ahead of its marketing launch, coordinating with the Regional Manager on timing.
Support Preferred Employer outreach for new communities as needed.
Coordinate with third-party vendors on floor plans, virtual tours, and website integration for new communities.
Provide marketing support for ancillary openings tied to new communities, such as on-site childcare or amenity launches, including promotional materials and launch communications.
Reporting & Strategic Feedback
Track participation, feedback, and costs for each event and partnership; report insights to the Vice President of Impact Capital and the Regional Manager.
Provide ongoing market insight and community feedback to leadership.
Deliver a monthly summary of marketing coordination activity, partner pipeline status, and event outcomes to the Vice President of Impact Capital.
Job Qualifications
Outgoing personality with strong networking and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with reliability and the ability to work independently and proactively across multiple concurrent priorities.
Demonstrated ability to manage marketing workstreams with minimal day-to-day oversight.
Comfortable representing Marketing priorities in cross-departmental discussions with Operations and Corporate leadership.
Keen sense of ownership and personal responsibility.
Strong attention to detail, including proofreading skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; experience supervising or mentoring junior staff or interns preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and OneDrive.
Familiarity with ILS platforms (Apartments.com, Zillow) and property management or CRM software (RealPage, Knock) preferred.
Three to five years of experience in marketing, hospitality, event planning, or a similar field. Candidates with marketing coordination or multi-site brand experience are encouraged to apply.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related area of study preferred.
Previous experience planning, organizing, and managing events.
