Clinical Aide

Clinical Aide – Job Description

Civil Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated, dependable, and personable Clinical Aide to join our team. This position is ideal for a college student or recent graduate interested in physical therapy, exercise science, kinesiology, sports medicine, or another healthcare profession who wants meaningful hands-on experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

The Clinical Aide works closely with our physical therapists to support patient care, maintain an organized and welcoming clinical environment, and help provide an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

Greet patients and help create a welcoming, professional clinic environment

Assist physical therapists with patient flow and treatment preparation

Set up and clean treatment areas and exercise equipment

Assist patients with therapist-directed exercises and activities as appropriate

Help administer and collect functional outcome measures

Assist with preparation and organization of home exercise programs

Set up recovery modalities under the direction of the physical therapist

Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment areas between patients

Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the clinic

Restock clinical supplies and identify items that need replenishment

Assist with opening and closing responsibilities

Support other clinical and administrative tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Current college student or graduate; exercise science, kinesiology, pre-PT, pre-PA, or related healthcare background preferred

Strong interest in physical therapy, rehabilitation, exercise, or healthcare

Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to take initiative

Friendly and comfortable interacting with patients of different ages and backgrounds

Able to follow instructions while also recognizing what needs to be done without always being asked

Comfortable working in an active, fast-paced clinical environment

Willingness to learn and receive feedback

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
