Legal Office Assistant

The Kohn Law Firm, a downtown Milwaukee law firm concentrating its practice in Creditor’s Rights litigation, is interviewing for an entry-level position as a Legal Office Assistant.

We are also providing a $1,000 New Hire Bonus for all new full-time employees.

Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming and outgoing calls with employers regarding status of wage garnishments
  • Fielding incoming emails and other requests for information
  • Contacting court regarding scheduling court proceedings
  • Mail handling
  • Paper and electronic filing
  • Routine data entry

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Critical thinker with a willingness to learn new things
  • Self-Starter
  • Solid work ethic and the ability to accommodate changing requests/priorities

Compensation

An entry level Legal Office Assistant earns a starting base wage between $18.00 and $19.00 per hour, based on qualifications, with monthly bonus possibilities.
