SEO Manager Intern

Summary

Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Job Title: SEO Manager Intern
Location: Remote
Type: Internship (Part-Time) (Unpaid)
Duration: 4 Months

Job Descriptions:

  • Optimize website content, metadata, URLs, and on-page elements to improve search engine visibility and support Resilience Inc.’s mission-driven outreach.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for increasing organic traffic related to SEL, emotional intelligence, youth development, and nonprofit education resources.
  • Collaborate with content creators to ensure blog posts, landing pages, and curriculum materials follow SEO best practices.
  • Analyze competitor SEO strategies within the nonprofit, education, and mental health space to inform optimization strategies.
  • Maintain a structured keyword database and track performance trends across priority topics and campaigns.
  • Use SEO and analytics tools to monitor website traffic, user behavior, keyword rankings, and engagement patterns.
  • Generate periodic performance reports with actionable recommendations to improve visibility and content effectiveness.
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as broken links, slow page load times, duplicate content, and crawl errors.
  • Create optimized meta descriptions, title tags, headers, and structured content elements to enhance search rankings and accessibility.
  • Support development of ethical link-building strategies to strengthen domain authority and increase awareness of SEL resources.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure campaigns and website updates remain SEO-aligned.
  • Stay updated on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, especially within nonprofit and education sectors.
  • Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to build expertise in digital marketing, analytics, and mission-driven SEO strategy.

Requirements:

  • Strong alignment with Resilience Inc.’s mission and values, including commitment to promoting social and emotional health and expanding SEL awareness through digital channels.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals (on-page SEO, keyword research, technical SEO, and link-building).
  • Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar (student/project experience acceptable).
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and translate insights into optimization strategies.
  • Attention to detail when optimizing content, metadata, and technical elements.
  • Ability to collaborate with content creators, designers, and marketing teams.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
  • Organized with strong documentation and reporting habits.
  • Able to attend remote weekly meetings and communicate progress effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive in communication.
