Concept Artist Intern

Summary

Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Summary

Our organization develops Social Emotional Learning (SEL) tools that help K–12 schools teach emotional intelligence through five core competencies: self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience Inc. is seeking Concept Artist Interns to join our Creative Team. This internship provides on-the-job training, making it an excellent opportunity for students and aspiring artists. No prior professional experience is required—we will provide the training and mentorship needed to help you develop your artistic and creative skills.

Our internship program requires a minimum commitment of 90 hours, with interns contributing 5–10 hours per week for at least four months. Flexible start and end dates are available.

Daily Expectations

  • Create concept sketches and illustrations for characters, environments, props, and visual assets.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and project teams to develop creative ideas.
  • Research and incorporate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) concepts into visual designs.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute original creative concepts.
  • Revise artwork based on feedback from team members and supervisors.
  • Attend weekly remote meetings and provide project updates.
  • Support the development of educational and promotional materials through concept art.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Passion for drawing, digital art, concept design, or visual storytelling.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to commit 5–10 hours per week for at least four months.
