Job Summary
Candidate will work with the Global Operations Team, and in supporting customers on various sample order and product specific issues by providing a remarkable customer service experience. This candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Sample Department, including interacting with customers and sales representatives for sample requests, pulling daily reports, monitoring samples inventory, shipping requests, ordering samples from factories, maintaining sample label database, re-labeling of samples. Candidate will also work with the Purchasing department in assisting on special projects and other day to day tasks. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and self-motivated, work to meet deadlines and have some experience in purchasing, inventory control and international trade. Candidate will work in a team-oriented environment with strong collaboration with other departments. This candidate will have strong personal/communication skills, as this role will interact with several internal departments and various external vendors.
Essential Job Functions
- Successfully complete the execution and shipment of all orders requests from sales reps and customers
- Place orders for all materials needed (i.e. material packaging, bottles, and boxes for shipping)
- Execute end to end steps for purchase order management in our inventory software
- Run sales reports to identify materials needing to be ordered with factory partners
- Manage MOQ’s of stock products ensuring levels do not drop below average sales
- Updating delivery dates and confirming of orders to ensure customer orders arrive on time
- Place orders for stock and special-order items with factory partners
- Process inbound receipts from factory partners with extreme accuracy into our system
- Inspect strategic customer shipments for accuracy
- Perform physical counts of materials when investigating a discrepancy or issue
- Monthly cycle count of inventory at our USA warehouse
Skills/Attributes/Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work in a team-based environment
- 1 to 3 years of experience in customer service, purchasing, supply planning, warehouse, shipping, or logistics preferred.
- Must be proficient in MS office applications, including excel, word, and outlook
- BS in Supply Chain or Business preferred
- Continuous improvement or Six Sigma Certification preferred
