🧘 Make Movement Meaningful
Young learners are naturally curious, energetic, and full of big emotions. The right movement-based activities can help them learn how to move with confidence, slow down, focus, and connect with themselves and others.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Yoga & Mindful Movement Instructor to create a fun, welcoming, and age-appropriate experience where students can explore movement, breathing, balance, mindfulness, and relaxation.
This isn't about perfect poses or complicated techniques. It's about helping children discover that movement can be joyful—and that taking a moment to breathe and reset can make a difference.
Whether you're a yoga instructor, fitness professional, educator, movement enthusiast, college student, or someone passionate about helping children develop healthy habits, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Curriculum guidance and instructional support are provided, so you can focus on connecting with students and creating a positive classroom experience.
🌿 What You'll Do
- Lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate yoga and mindful movement activities
- Introduce students to basic yoga poses, stretching, balance, breathing, and movement
- Incorporate simple mindfulness, relaxation, and focus activities
- Use stories, games, music, and creative movement to keep students engaged
- Encourage students to explore movement at their own pace
- Help students develop body awareness, coordination, balance, and confidence
- Create a calm, welcoming, and inclusive environment
- Adapt activities to different abilities, energy levels, and comfort levels
- Encourage positive participation without pressure or competition
- Model patience, kindness, respect, and mindful behavior
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
- Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
- Arrive prepared, energetic, and ready to create a positive experience for students
🌟 What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a traditional classroom teacher. We're looking for someone who can bring positive energy while creating a safe, calm, and engaging environment for young learners.
We're looking for someone with:
- A genuine interest in yoga, mindfulness, movement, wellness, or children's fitness
- Ability to demonstrate basic yoga and movement activities
- Patience and enthusiasm when working with young children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A warm, encouraging, and positive personality
- Ability to lead group activities and maintain a structured environment
- Creativity and flexibility when working with young learners
- Reliable, professional, and responsible work habits
Prior experience in yoga instruction, children's fitness, teaching, tutoring, camps, recreation, dance, coaching, or youth programs is a plus—but not required.
