Pay Rate: $25–$35/hour, based on experience

We’re looking for an enthusiastic LEGO Robotics Instructor to lead an exciting, hands-on enrichment program this fall. You’ll guide students as they build and experiment with LEGO-based robots, explore how things work, solve challenges, and turn their ideas into working creations.

 

This is more than a robotics class. It’s an opportunity to help young learners develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, persistence, and confidence while having fun with one of the most engaging tools in STEM education.

Curriculum guidance, lesson plans, and instructional support are provided, so you can focus on what matters most: creating an exciting learning experience for students.

 

🤖 What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging, hands-on LEGO Robotics sessions that encourage students to build, experiment, and explore
  • Guide students through robotics projects involving building, mechanisms, sensors, motors, and basic programming
  • Help students turn creative ideas into functional LEGO-based robots and designs
  • Introduce age-appropriate concepts in engineering, coding, robotics, and problem-solving
  • Challenge students to troubleshoot their designs, test solutions, and learn from mistakes
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration through group challenges and creative projects
  • Adapt instruction to different learning styles, abilities, and levels of experience
  • Create an inclusive classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions and experimenting
  • Keep students motivated and engaged through challenges, demonstrations, and hands-on activities
  • Provide encouragement and constructive feedback as students work through projects
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, energetic, and ready to make robotics exciting

 

🌟 What We're Looking For

You don't have to be a robotics engineer or experienced teacher. We're looking for someone who can make STEM exciting and connect with young learners.

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • A strong interest in LEGO, robotics, engineering, coding, STEM, or maker activities
  • Comfort working with hands-on building projects and technology
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • An energetic, patient, and encouraging personality
  • Ability to lead interactive activities and keep students engaged
  • A willingness to learn and follow a structured curriculum
  • Dependability, professionalism, and strong classroom presence
  • Prior experience with teaching, tutoring, robotics, camps, youth programs, or coaching is a plus—but not required

 

Experience with platforms such as LEGO Education, SPIKE, Mindstorms, Arduino, Scratch, or similar robotics tools is a strong advantage.
