Marketing Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a results-oriented Marketing Manager (or Senior Marketer) who is a strategic thinker and execution powerhouse. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, leverages resources creatively (AI, contractors, SMEs), and consistently delivers senior-level quality across channels. You will own marketing strategy and execution to support broker acquisition, direct-to-employer growth, thought leadership, and sales enablement — all while maintaining strong ROI and compliance awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategies that drive qualified leads and revenue growth.
- Create high-converting content (blogs, emails, whitepapers, case studies, social posts) that resonates with brokers and employers in the health benefits space.
- Oversee SEO & AEO initiatives, paid media campaigns, and lead nurturing programs to maximize visibility and pipeline impact.
- Research, recommend, and coordinate high-ROI events and conferences on time and within budget.
- Partner closely with sales, operations, and leadership to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, track performance through analytics, and optimize for strong ROI.
- Collaborate with designers by providing clear creative feedback to ensure brand-aligned deliverables.
- Leverage AI tools, contractors, and subject matter experts to scale output and maintain senior-level quality efficiently.
Requirements
- SEO & AEO Fluency: Strong strategic understanding of SEO and AEO strategies to guide and optimize efforts (including potential outsourcing) for increased organic visibility and qualified traffic.
- Content Strategy & Creation: Excels at developing high-impact content focused on results rather than design execution.
- Collaboration with Design: Partners effectively with designers, providing clear and constructive creative feedback.
- Sales Enablement & Revenue Impact: Proven ability to align marketing with sales goals, generate qualified leads, and directly contribute to revenue growth.
- Paid Media Proficiency: Experienced in developing and managing efficient paid campaigns (LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.) that deliver strong ROI within budget.
- Strategic Development: Identifies, recommends, and implements comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to business objectives.
- Events & Conferences: Researches high-ROI events, recommends participation, and coordinates execution on time and within budget.
- Leverages Resources for Scale: Uses AI tools, contractors, and subject matter experts to deliver senior-level quality and broad coverage efficiently (without over-relying on unvetted AI output).
- Analytics & Measurement: Data-driven with expertise in tracking performance (Google Analytics, CRM dashboards, attribution) and optimizing campaigns based on metrics.
- B2B Healthcare/Benefits Experience: Ideal background in health insurance, benefits tech, or fintech; understands broker/employer pain points and compliance considerations.
- Lead Generation & Automation: Skilled in marketing automation, email nurturing, CRM integration, and multi-channel lead gen.
- Budget Ownership & ROI Focus: Manages marketing budgets effectively, forecasts spend, and consistently demonstrates positive ROI.
- Agility & Initiative: Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment; proactive in testing new tactics and adapting to market changes.
