Food and Beverage Server
Job Summary
The Ridge at Back Brook is seeking energetic, customer-focused individuals to join our Food & Beverage team as Servers, Banquet Servers, and Bartenders. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students and hospitality professionals to gain valuable experience in a premier private country club while working in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Team members are responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to club members and their guests during restaurant service, golf events, weddings, banquets, and special functions. Successful candidates are dependable, personable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Provide prompt, friendly, and attentive food and beverage service.
- Accurately take and enter orders using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages according to club presentation and service standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, beverage offerings, and club events.
Event & Dining Operations
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining rooms, banquet spaces, and special events.
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work.
- Prepare dining areas by stocking linens, polishing silverware and glassware, and ensuring tables are properly set.
- Maintain clean, organized service stations throughout each shift.
- Assist with banquet service, golf outings, weddings, member events, and other special functions.
- Support bartenders and fellow team members during busy service periods.
Food Safety & Cleanliness
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Handle food and beverages safely and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, bars, service stations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining inventory organization.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, chefs, and management to ensure seamless service.
- Communicate guest requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies accurately.
- Adapt quickly to changing service demands while maintaining a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, banquet, catering, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required - we provide paid training.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
