About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join a manufacturer of aluminum castings in the Clifton, NJ area. This role is responsible for operating CNC mills and lathes to machine aluminum components in accordance with production schedules and quality standards. The position involves machine setup, monitoring machining processes, performing tool changes, and verifying that finished components meet engineering specifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to operate machining equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required. Technical certificate or vocational training in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.
- 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, or machining centers in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints and follow machining specifications.
- Hands-on experience performing machine setup, tool changes, and production adjustments on CNC equipment.
Manufacturing experience in one of the following industries:

Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce aluminum components according to production schedules and specifications
Load raw materials into machines and properly secure workpieces prior to machining operations
Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent production output and product quality
Inspect machined parts to verify conformance with engineering drawings and quality standards
Adjust machine settings and offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy and machining performance
Perform cutting tool changes and adjustments following proper machining procedures
Conduct basic machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure reliable equipment performance
Monitor production output and report equipment issues or process deviations to supervisors
Maintain accurate production records including machine settings, production quantities, and inspection results
Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training and operational meetings
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support efficient manufacturing operations
