Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and guest-focused Hostess/Host to join our Food & Beverage team. The Hostess/Host serves as the first point of contact for restaurant guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from arrival to departure. This role is responsible for managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, maintaining waitlists, and ensuring guests receive outstanding customer service throughout their dining experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner
- Manage restaurant reservations and maintain accurate guest seating charts
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Monitor restaurant seating to ensure efficient table turnover and guest flow
- Communicate wait times accurately and manage guest expectations during busy periods
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and restaurant management to optimize seating assignments
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding dining hours, reservations, and special events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, and waiting areas
- Assist with special seating requests and accommodations whenever possible
- Recognize VIP guests, repeat customers, and special occasions to enhance the guest experience
- Support restaurant team members during peak service periods as needed
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant menus, promotions, and hotel amenities
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Accountability
Responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining an organized seating operation, maximizing dining room efficiency, and contributing to a positive guest experience while supporting restaurant revenue goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous hostess, restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or hotel experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
