Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Job Description & Qualifications
Water/Wastewater Project Engineer
- Education: Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Engineering
- Experience: 1-6 years of progressive water, wastewater, chemical, and/or renewable energy process planning, design, and construction engineering experience (commensurate with time in the practice)
Water Resources Engineer
- Education: Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience: P.E. Required/5+ years of experience. Strong understanding of water resources industry and technology trends, including all aspects of water resource systems from studies through construction; firm understanding of hydraulics and hydrology. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Industry Experience:
- Understanding of the Division of Drinking Water (DDW) rules and regulations
- Understanding of the Division of Water Rights (DWRi) rules and regulations
- Experience with project funding options through both local and federal agencies
- Experience with client marketing efforts and proposal development
Attitude: Must have a positive, can-do attitude that embraces challenges and opportunities
Contribute to engineering studies and reports (conceptual and preliminary design), final design (preparing drawings and specifications for bidding), and construction office and field engineering
Analyze technical information, perform engineering calculations, and develop concepts into feasible and effective engineering designs and projects
Strong relationship and personal communication skills (e.g., listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, sensitivity - to build strong relationships and foster teamwork.)
Strong writing skills (e.g., fluency in report writing and presentations)
Quantitative skills (e.g., analytical, technical, problem solving)
