Location: Prince George's County Public Schools, Maryland
Position Type: Part-Time/Full-Time

Job Summary:
Exploration Nation, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Reading Tutor to help students strengthen their reading, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and overall literacy skills. The ideal candidate is patient, engaging, and able to adapt instruction to meet the needs of students at various reading levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small-group reading instruction.
• Support students with phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Communicate student progress with the Academic Director. 
• Maintain accurate tutoring and progress records.
• Use engaging instructional materials and activities to reinforce literacy skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Literacy, or a related field preferred, or currently pursuing a degree.
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students.
• Strong understanding of reading instruction and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Patient, dependable, and able to work effectively with diverse learners.

Preferred: Experience with reading intervention programs and students with learning challenges.

Compensation

Pay Range: $25-$30 hourly
