Director of Child Care Regional Operations

As a Director of Child Care Regional Operations you will:
- Implement the administrative goals, objectives, priorities and decisions of the leadership team throughout the Regions in the areas of strategic planning and coordination of activities.
- Coordinate and provide leadership team with updates regarding administrative and operational matters relating to regional and program initiatives and priorities, collaborating with Central and Regional Office leadership teams on all significant policy and operational matters.
- Provide direction, coordination, and oversight of regional initiatives and administrative activities, supporting Regional Program Managers (RPM) and state, tribal, and territorial grantees.
- Set goals, milestones, and expectations for program functions to Regional Program Managers, forming results-oriented, customer-focused partnerships.
- Identify operational and technical assistance strengths and needs, to address the distinct and various needs across regions, carrying out oversight activities, and developing recommendations, based on identified regional concerns and trends.
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
- Planning, implementing, and maintaining systems that conduct child care grant program operations.
- Conducting reviews of the administration and operations of child care grant programs to ensure compliance with policies and protocols.
- Providing leadership and managerial direction to multiple supervisory-level employees.
- Providing technical assistance to enhance child care program effectiveness.
- Reviewing and preparing analysis of child care grant program policies and operational issues.
