Location: CU Boulder, with some flexibility for remote work. 

Position Overview 

The Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) Initiative at CU Boulder empowers students, faculty, staff, and community members to explore new ideas, launch ventures, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. We are seeking up to two highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented CU Boulder students for the role of Entrepreneurship Fellow. As an Entrepreneurship Fellow, you will provide program coordination and operational support across multiple key areas. This role is ideal for students who are passionate about innovation, startups, and community engagement — and who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Entrepreneurship Programs Support 

• Support the delivery of multiple programs for campus entrepreneurs, including Get Seed Funding, New Venture Challenge, and Boulder Venture Club. Each Fellow will be assigned to a select subset of these programs.
• Coordinate with RIO staff, student leadership and faculty advisors to ensure smooth, professional program execution. 
• Oversee award processing and compliance for programs allocating funding (Get Seed Funding): liaise with CU Financial Service Center, student leadership, and recipients; maintain award account; initiate POs; process/distribute awards; manage required documentation; ensure compliance with state and university financial policies. 
• Attend programs, program promotional events (virtual and in-person), workshops, and pitch sessions. 
• Assist with reporting, budgets, communications, metrics/records, and other deliverables. 
• Implement process improvements, impact tracking, and adherence to best practices. 

2. Administrative & Operational Tasks 

• Assist with scheduling, registration, venue reservations, and catering for assigned events. 
• Assist with event planning, setup, breakdown, and onsite coordination. 
• Contribute to effective program implementation.
• Maintain accurate records and track/update relevant metrics. 
• Support project management platform buildout and data organization. 

3. General Program & Platform Support 

• Support further refinement of award tracking and reporting systems. 
• Contribute to process improvements. 
• Support tracking and reporting of metrics across programs, including collecting data about companies that have participated in programs.
• With supervisor direction, assist with fundraising tasks and partnership development efforts 

4. Outreach & Recruitment

• Promote entrepreneurial training programs to peers, faculty, and campus organizations through events, and personal outreach.
• Leverage networks to identify and recruit student and faculty teams into programs.
• Serve as a peer connector, helping students learn about available resources and funding for innovation.
• Provide feedback from the student perspective to inform program marketing, recruitment strategies, and program experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; willingness to learn project management tools. 
• Comfortable engaging with students, faculty, mentors, investors, and community members in professional settings. 

Preferred: 

• Event coordination or program management experience. 
• Familiarity with entrepreneurship, innovation, or startup ecosystems. 
• Experience with CRM systems, database management, or online startup platforms (e.g., StartupTree).
