Student Services Assistant (2026-27 Academic Year)
The Graduate Division is seeking two motivated, professional, and service-oriented student assistants to join our front desk team for the 2026-27 academic year. This position is ideal for students who enjoy helping others, developing administrative skills, and working in a collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and provide general assistance at the Graduate Division front desk.
- Respond to and route email inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
- Manage the Graduate Division's main phone line, including answering calls and following up on voicemail messages.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
- Maintain office supply inventory and assist with supply distribution.
- Conduct light cleaning and organization of shared workspace and hybrid cubicles.
- Manage the checkout, tracking, and basic maintenance of office equipment, including laptops and iPads.
- Water and care for office plants.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Experience using Google Sheets and Google Forms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
