This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to making a meaningful difference for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
Work Schedule:
Friday-Sunday 7pm-7am
What You'll Do
As a QMHP on our Behavioral Health Urgent Care team, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals during times of crisis and connecting them to ongoing services and resources. You will:
- Complete comprehensive screenings, assessments, and service recommendations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of assessments and referrals to ensure individuals receive appropriate support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, community providers, natural supports, and referral partners.
- Provide clinically informed guidance and consultation to team members.
- Participate in case reviews, treatment discussions, and care coordination activities.
- Help identify community resources and support networks that promote long-term success.
- Educate individuals and families about available services and opportunities for community engagement.
- Deliver Assertive Engagement Services to individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders who may have experienced barriers to treatment participation.
- Support individuals transitioning from hospital settings while helping reduce future crises, hospitalizations, and involvement with emergency services.

What You'll Bring
To qualify as a Qualified Professional (10A NCAC 27G .0104), candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
Education and Experience
Option 1
- Bachelor's degree in a non-human services field and
- 4 years of full-time applicable experience (or 8 years part-time experience)
Option 2
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field and
- 2 years of full-time applicable experience (or 4 years part-time experience)
Option 3
- Master's degree in a human services field and
- 1 year of full-time applicable experience (or 2 years part-time experience)
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience providing crisis response services within a crisis management setting.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders, as applicable to QMHP requirements.
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and organized in fast-paced environments.
- Commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed care.
