Mechanical Engineering Intern - U.S. Energy

Position Summary: 

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Summer 2027 internship program! The internship will provide valuable learning experience to a college student seeking experience and business exposure in the mechanical engineering field. U.S. Venture will structure the internship to afford additional college credit whenever possible. 

This position will be located at our Downtown Appleton, WI office (222 W College Avenue, Appleton, WI 59411) with expectations to travel to local terminals and offices. The internship will start May 2027 through August 2027. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Create/update P&ID drawings 
  • Organize project files in a searchable/easy to use database (SharePoint) 
  • Recreate existing Terminal infrastructure in AutoCAD Plant 3D 
  • Create construction drawings for new projects 
  • Create spreadsheets for estimating/tracking project costs 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Actively pursuing a related degree program - Mechanical Engineering 
  • Ability to work full time (40 hours) during the summer 
  • Ability to manage and lead a project or perform a function with limited supervision
