Business Operations Lead

We’re building something ambitious — a new business unit within Knopman Marks dedicated to High Performance Career Development. Our mission is to help the next generation of professionals lead with impact, resilience, and strategic clarity in today’s fast-moving world of work.

To bring this vision to life, we're looking for a sharp, self-directed generalist who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role for someone who sees around corners, moves without being pushed, and knows how to build operational infrastructure from zero to one.

You'll be embedded at the center of everything — partnering directly with our General Manager, helping build our Sales and BizOps functions, and get exposure to Marketin[LS1] g & Brand, Learning Innovation to drive the business forward. If you want to understand how a business is actually built and run, and you're ready to be one of the people doing it, this is your seat.

Business Operations & Strategy Execution (65%)

  • Translate strategy into execution — build and manage the systems, processes, and workflows that keep the business moving
  • Partner with the GM on go-to-market planning, pipeline development, and ongoing business development and sales operations
  • Build and report on tracking infrastructure: milestones, KPIs, dashboards, and weekly operating cadences
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities across workstreams — surface them fast, with a point of view on solutions
  • Partner with the Analyst to serve as a connective tissue across teams, ensuring sales, marketing, product, and operations are aligned and accountable
  • Identify what needs to happen before anyone asks — then make it happen

Client Engagement (35%)

  • Help implement a new sales motion, supporting the sales team with business development, research, and pitches that align with our product strategy
  • Prepare materials, briefings, and proposals for client meetings and business development conversations as needed
  • Build relationships across the organization and externally — you're comfortable in a boardroom and a Teams channel
  • Explore strategic partnerships and vendor relationships as the business scales
  • Develop internal communications and reporting to keep stakeholders informed and aligned

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 2–5 years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, or a high-growth startup environment
  • Proven ability to build structure from scratch — you're comfortable with ambiguity and know how to create order without a playbook
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder, equally effective with C-suite executives and cross-functional teammates
  • Analytical and strategic — you think in systems and root causes, not just tasks
  • Relentlessly resourceful and proactive — you don't wait for direction, you drive it
  • Comfortable owning client-facing work and representing the business externally
  • Willing and able to travel regularly to Maine and accompany the CEO to client events
  • Energized by building, not just running — you want to leave fingerprints on what gets created here

Why This Role:

This isn't a support role — it's a builder role. You'll be one of the first people inside a new business with real backing and a clear mission. You'll have direct access to senior leadership, meaningful ownership over how the operation runs, and the chance to scale something from the ground up. If you're hungry, strategic, and ready to operate at a level most people don't get to for years, we want to talk.
