Visual Arts/Gallery Intern
Visual Art & Gallery Intern: combines creative management with administrative experience. The ideal candidate will assist with our digital presence and occasionally host visitors in our physical space. Our gallery will also be available as a creative working space. The intern will be able to attend workshops, presentations and other skill building activities as desired. In addition, mentorship can be provided in photographic arts – both film and digital imaging, and in the business and technology of imaging and digital print making.
Responsibilities:
- Posting to/updating our website using WordPress
- Periodically manning the gallery space, welcoming visitors, and answering questions
- Assistance with exhibition prep
Experience
- Competence in basic Wordpress
- Reliable, professional but casual demeanor suitable for a public-facing gallery environment
- Strong interest in at least one of the visual arts
