We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Test Analyst with expertise in both manual and test automation to support mission-critical enterprise applications. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams—including business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, solution architects, and project managers—to ensure enterprise software systems meet key business requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing manual testing, automation testing, API validation, backend database verification, and end-to-end business process testing across complex enterprise platforms (such as Salesforce, Java-based software, Progressive Web Applications, and integrated web services).
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Perform manual and automated testing across multiple enterprise applications, including functional, regression, smoke, integration, system integration (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Test Artifact Creation: Develop and maintain detailed test scenarios, test cases, and automated test scripts derived from business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Requirements & Traceability: Participate in requirements walkthroughs, sprint planning, and backlog refinement; build and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure complete test coverage.
- Automation & API Testing: Design, update, and execute automated test scripts using established frameworks. Conduct REST and SOAP API testing using industry-standard tools.
- Data Validation: Perform backend database verification and data integrity checks using custom SQL queries.
- Defect Management: Identify, log, prioritize, and track software defects to resolution in Jira; participate in defect triage meetings and validate fixes.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and assist with post-production release validation.
General Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of dedicated Quality Assurance experience testing large-scale enterprise applications.
- Proven track record in both manual testing and automated test framework execution within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Technical & Domain Experience
- Proficiency with automation tools and concepts (Selenium, TestNG, Java, or similar frameworks).
- Hands-on experience with API and Web Service testing (Postman, REST, SOAP).
- Strong backend data validation skills using SQL.
- Familiarity with Salesforce application testing, Mobile/PWA testing, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience testing complex, policy-driven applications within Public Sector / State Government, Human Services, Healthcare, Medicaid/Medicare, or Eligibility & Benefits Management Systems is strongly preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite; initial remote period before transitioning)
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (40 hours/week)
